If there’s not enough space in your project based on the MZR/Duratec engine (as well as 2.0 or 2.3 EcoBoost) and you’re planning to relocate the oil filter to a more convenient location, we have the solution for you – an oil take-off plate.
To allow you to additionally monitor oil temperature and pressure, we added three threaded ports: 1x 1/8" NPT (for sensors), 1x 1/4" NPT for the factory oil pressure sensor, and 1x M10x1 for a Bosch pressure and temperature sensor.
Our plate is CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum. To increase durability and maintain a great appearance, all of our plates are anodized.
We also paid special attention to oil flow and pressure within the lubrication system by maintaining constant cross-sectional areas and using AN10 fittings (unlike some solutions that use AN8). Since the fittings available on the market did not fully meet our expectations, we decided to manufacture our own according to our design.
Our oil take-off plate kit includes:
- a CNC-machined 6061 aluminum plate, anodized, with optimized internal passages and three ports: 1x 1/8" NPT, 1x 1/4" NPT, and 1x M10x1,
- Two custom-designed M20x1.5 to AN10 fittings,
- One 1/8" NPT plug to seal the sensor port if needed,
- Engine block gasket.
